Principles of Investment

We do not generally invest in biotechnology, traditional healthcare facilities (hospitals, nursing homes, etc.) or early-stage companies without a demonstrated positive cash flow.

The heart of our investments are predicated on these key principles:

  • Innovative Business Idea
  • Established brands and/or strong customer relationships
  • Strong sales and distribution capabilities
  • Scalable Platforms with potential for expansion into new products, services, and technologies
  • Management teams interested in retaining an ownership stake

Maja Equity looks for potential in the following areas:

  • Marketization — We strongly believe in working towards wellness and cost control of healthcare. Managing patients in a way that ensures we are proactively working with them before the onset of an acute condition. This is where we want to invest. We seek promising companies that embrace the increased marketization of health care services.
  • Innovation — We believe in disruptive change. We want to work with entrepreneurs who have developed new ways to deliver quality and value. Through our financial and intellectual investments, we will bring these ideas to market and scale.
  • Promising new companies — The companies in which we invest do not carry the burden of legacy infrastructures, inefficient business models, or the need to protect current market share or revenues. Our focus is on companies that disrupt current systems by delivering an entirely different value proposition.
